Galería Odalys (Caracas - Madrid) will open on 
February 23, 2019, with Alfonso de la Torre as
curator, the UNIVERSO MADÍ exhibit is more anapproximation to the contemporary state of MADI´s
concepts in today´s artists-in this 2019, than a historicist review of the movement born in 1946.
Galería Odalys, whose trajectory has specialized in exhibits around geometric, constructive, kinetic, or
lighting art (see its most recent monography on Soto, its collaborations with Cruz Diez, or its collectives, such
as "Reconstructivismo" [2012]; “Interactive” [2016] or “Lucidez” [2017]), proposes in this exhibit, which
coincides with ARCOmadrid, the relevance and endurance of MADÍ's concepts, a movement that,
despite having been born in the 1940's, still shows ongoing growth. This is evidenced by the fact that the
concepts from the artists who furthered the movement are still being used—or adopted—by new artists. The
immediate arrival of MADÍ to Paris influenced GRAV (Groupe de Recherche d’Art Visuel) on the
globalization of shaped canvas and their vindication in North America: universo MADÍ.
every corner of the world will be showcased, creating a 
catalogue that will include all of the showcased artwork,and a critical review text by the exhibit's curator. Along
with contemporary artists who thus review the concepts extended by MADÍ, the exhibit will contain a
visual evocation of documents that will recall the
